Backbone and PlayStation Launch New Collaboration for Android

Following Backbone’s launch of Backbone One – PlayStation Edition for iOS in 2022, Backbone has launched its latest product – Backbone One – PlayStation Edition for Android. It’s available in the Nordic region at participating retailers.

Designed in close collaboration with PlayStation, this new device picks up many of the design cues from the PS5 console’s DualSense wireless controller, including the classic button designs and icons. This product is uniquely recognized as a DualSense by the PS Remote Play App, enabling gamers to play their favorite PS4 and PS5 games on their Android device from anywhere.

With access to broadband internet and a PS5 or PS4 console, players can plug in their Android to Backbone One and start playing PS4 or PS5 games through the PlayStation Remote Play App. Players will have the ability to lock their gameplay in landscape mode, and easily access the PlayStation app by double tapping on the Options button on their Backbone One controller.

The Backbone App is also available now for Android. For Backbone One – PlayStation Edition for Android users, the app is fully customized for PlayStation including the iconic button glyphs for the menu icons. The app features a dedicated content row that is updated regularly with all the new game releases, news and updates from PlayStation. The Backbone App also elegantly aggregates all your gaming content and services that support controllers, including mobile-native games like Call of Duty: Mobile and Diablo Immortal and services like SteamLink and Nvidia GeForce Now.
